Food delivery is an excellent side hustle. The money can be perfect (depending on how much you want to work), many people in this industry do it part-time, and it shouldn’t be hard to get a work schedule that’s friendly to your primary job.

Food delivery services, such as DoorDash, pick up food from several different restaurants in their area to deliver it to their customers.

The employment opportunities include pizza places, Chinese food restaurants, and other similar establishments.

All you need is a reliable car, and your earnings will be a matter of how many hours you have free each week.

Requirements for drivers: An iPhone or Android smartphone is required. It would help if you were at least 18 years old, have valid insurance and a driver’s license, and have one or more years of driving experience.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to deliver with a bike, car, scooter, motorcycle, or bicycle.

It is easy to apply. Sign up and verify your identity. A background check will be completed, and once approved, you can start earning cash!

2. Tutor Online.

If you’re looking for a more home-based side job, then tutoring could be for you.

If you have particular expertise in a specific area, whether it’s knowledge of a foreign language or a skill that you can teach, there’s undoubtedly someone out there who wants to learn it and will pay you to teach them.

A couple of decades ago, the traditional difficulty with this sort of side job would have been finding people to tutor. Today, though, there are websites, such as Tutor.com, Brainfuse, and TutorMe, that specialize in connecting you with the people who need your expertise.

Is your house or apartment crammed to the brim with a lot of stuff? If so, maybe it’s a good time to start selling a few things for some extra profit.

You can easily list things to sell on eBay and make money.

Of course, only doing this is not a sustainable way of making money online, but it can make getting started selling online more accessible.

You can use the money from the initial sales of things you already own to buy more unique items at thrift stores and flea markets to then flip on eBay for extra profit.

If you have a talent for making crafts or little knick-knacks, turn it into a business!

Etsy is an online marketplace like eBay, except it’s entirely devoted to selling homemade crafts.

5. Become a Virtual Assistant.

If you have time on your hands that you would like to exchange for extra money, becoming a virtual assistant is for you.

Business owners, managers, professionals, and other busy executives alike, have plenty of money but practically no time to handle all the tasks they need to get done.

Not only will Virtual assisting allow for making extra money virtually, but it can also be an incredible resume booster.

Most of the required tasks are services that the virtual assistant can deliver digitally, such as social media work, email marketing, and other purely online work, and typically they are fairly flexible work schedules.

Now, if you have diverse knowledge in a subject that you’re are passionate about, starting a blog to write about it is an excellent way to enjoy the process.

But if you need decent extra money right now, starting a blog might not be the side job you are looking for.

Since blogging takes a lot of time to build up to where you can sufficiently monetize it to start paying your bills, you shouldn’t rely on it to start making you extra cash until 7 to 8 months.

Although this isn’t a job, it’s probably one of the better passive income ideas.

With any traditional job, you have to put many hours of work in for a given amount of pay. So wouldn’t it be nice to receive money from letting people use your property or car?

If you have extra space, let’s say a bedroom in your house or apartment that you’re not using, rent it out! Craigslist is an excellent place to list locally or AirBNB if your property bylaws allow for it.

Now let’s talk about renting your items!

There are also a number of websites where you can list any personal property you may have that someone else may want to borrow.

For example, Loanables is one of the more well-known websites in this category, where people list an incredible range of items from paddleboards, camping tents, generators, kayaks, floor cleaners, all the way to ladders.

The amount of money you can make will depend on what you have available to lend and how in-demand they are.

Either way, renting out space or valuable items can bring in the extra money you are looking for without you having to be overly involved or having to do much, a win-win!
